I really like the texture on the flat side to help with my bare feet grip. I like to stand on this while watching TV to improve my balance and core strength. Starting on doing arm exercises with bands and hand weights to add extra challenge. Does have a strong smell at first, but disappates after a few days.

Using this to strengthen my knee after meniscus repair. Better than the one they had in the therapy office. The inflation pump that came with it is a piece of garbage — couldn’t generate enough air pressure to overcome the resistance of the thick rubber dome. Had to use my bike pump and a pen cap to get the air in, but once inflated, it has held air pressure for weeks without noticeable loss. Video that comes with it is well-done, haven’t done the program yet (still recovering), but looks like it would be fun and effective. A bit pricy for what it is, but it is an effective strength/balance training tool, and made to last for years.

I love the versatility of both sides.the air pressure remains the same after use. Some inflatables seem to lose air after a while and this hasn’t.

My husband and I are both Fitness Professionals and have purchased Bosu Balls for our personal and our clients use for over 20 years. This by far is the best version we have used. It is sturdier, firmer and more durable than regular Bosu Balls. The texture is an added feature that makes it more user friendly. The Bosu Pros we have purchased over the last few years lasted only a year or less before the bladder failed. We expect this Bosu to last for many years to come.

Well made product that has already paid for itself in use.

The Bosu Elite I received looked as if it had been used and then returned. There were scratches and marks in various places on the Bosu. The box it arrived in was shabby and the closure was not sealed.
I decided to keep the Bosu because my husband made me promise that if he goes through the effort of pumping it up, I will not return it. Also it’s too heavy and cumbersome to try and return it.
The Bosu is sturdy and seems well-made. It was also easy to inflate and took about 5 minutes.
I don’t usually write reviews, but I took the time to do it because it is now ok for a company to send a used product to a customer paying full price. I was excited to receive the Bosu, but disappointed with the condition it arrived in. I paid for a new item and that’s what I expected. I am giving the Bosu 2 stars because of the condition not because the product is inferior.

I’m glad I bought the top of the line Elite. Picked it up on sale. I’ve used the BOSU Pro for many years and it’s good but the Elite is way better. I’am a personal trainer and when possible prefer to work outside with my clients as much as I can. Sturdy construction is a must as it has to stand up to the elements and a high volume of use!!! The Elite fits the bill for sure. I also purchased the Helm to compliment the BOSU. The two are perfect together or each on their own. The Elite like the Helm is almost over built and I see it lasting a long time!!! The BOSU Elite is a welcome compliment/addition to my routine. Bye bye BOSU Pro! Btw- the pump is easy to use and works fine!!!

Sturdy, takes weight well, and gives you one heck of a workout! The extra grip and number markers are excellent additions to the original design. Looking forward to post-Bosu life!

First, people, get over the cheap pump. That is not what you should be rating on this product. Seriously, you should only be using the pump a handful of times in the lifetime of this item and it does not need to be spectacular.
Second, if you are considering a Bosu and do not have one at all at this point, do NOT get a regular Bosu, get the Bosu Elite. This product is SO MUCH BETTER! The rubber is heavier and forms a better seal with the plug so there is no leaking. My other traditional Bosu won’t stay inflated no matter what I try. It feels thicker, and actually was a bit tricking to inflate because it takes a little effort to get that initial expansion going. But this is a tough piece of equipment, is grippier than a traditional Bosu, and feels like it will last forever. The Weck markings and texture on it make it a bit easier to hang on or stay balanced for some things as well.
I cannot speak to the issue some folks mention about the balloon thing popping out–I have never experienced this problem and have had a Bosu for years. I did notice that if you go to Bosu’s website, there are instructions there on how to put the thing back into the base.

The BOSU Elite is head and shoulders above other balance and therapy strength products. Structurally, and with variable features included make it unique. I used a regular BOSU when I did inhouse therapy after I had knee surgery and it really sped up my recovery. Now I use the BOSU Elite to add strength and balance to my lower body. I highly recommend this product.
